Study Tip of the Week

(Review, due to upcoming Finals)

Over the past couple years we have had a few questions about the school’s policy regarding keeping old tests for younger siblings to use in subsequent years.  The short answer is, no.  Students who have access to the previous year’s tests and answers have a distinct and unfair advantage over the other students in the class.  Teachers, both in the elementary and secondary, provide review sheets before each test.  This is what the students should use (along with notes, previous work, etc.) as they prepare for tests.  At Logos, using someone else’s old test to study for your test is cheating.

Grandparents’ Day

April 16, 2010 · Filed Under Correspondence · Comment

Dear Logos families and friends,

May 7th is Grandparents’ Day at Logos School. It is one of the best days of the year for everyone at Logos. For the past two years we have hosted a small scale art auction from 6:30 PM to 7:25 PM in the Logos auditorium. It is a silent auction of about 35 to 40 pieces, fun for the grandparents, and it ends just before the start of the spring concert in the Logos gym.

If you have artwork that you would like to donate, please bring it to the main office by the 5th of May. Framed or matted, originals or prints, all is welcome. Your donation is tax deductible.

Also, you might remember the beautiful illuminated manuscript done in real gold of ” Non Nobis ” donated last year by Emily ( Minnich ) Kita, class of 95. Emily created the piece herself and it is truly a work of art. You can see it in the Logos main office. Emily has donated a similar piece for this year, ” The Lord’s Prayer “. It is absolutely stunning. Last year, folks made a donation to Logos in recognition of Emily’s work. You could do the same this year, or, for the right price, it could be yours.

Please let me know if you have any questions and I look forward to your donations to the Grandparents’ Day art auction. development@logosschool.com

Blessings,
