XC Preseason Workouts
Dear Cross Country Runners,
High School- from now on you need to be running 6 out of 7 days. In this base building phase of our program you should be running 30-40min at a steady, easy pace- a pace where you could chat with a friend while running. Make 1 day out of the 6 days a little longer (45-50 min) . Try to run mostly on rolling terrain with dirt or grass footing. Stretch after running.
Jr. High- try to run 6 out of 7 days for about 20 minutes each day….make 1 of the days a little longer(25-30 min). Try to run mostly on rolling terrain with dirt or grass footing. Stretch all your muscles after your run. If you ran a lot in LaCrosse that could count as your run.
We will meet on Friday, Aug. 13 at the Jr. High tennis courts at 7 am for the first official practice. Go Knights!

Logos Cross Country 2009
The Logos Cross Country teams had another very successful year. We, as a team, were ranked #1 in 1A Districts 1-6. Logos beat many bigger schools such as Moscow, Lewiston, Clarkston, Lake City, Sandpoint, Post Falls, etc. The Logos boys came in 1st place in 5 of our meets.
The Logos JH boys Cross Country team had a perfect year remaining undefeated in all 10 of our meets including the prestigious Farragut Invite and the Bi-State Championship. Our Logos boys team ranked #1 in Idaho with Paul Ryan ranking #1 individually for the 1.5 mile race.
Dear cross country parents,
Attached is an updated cross country schedule. We have added a meet for the junior high team on Oct. 15th. In addition we have the times for the meets and departure and arrival times on the new schedule. We put any information we get about the meets on the principal’s page so look there for more details about the meets as well as directions. This Saturday is the Moscow Invitational so we hope we get a good crowd to cheer the team on! Go Knights! Vicki Church

1st Rate Season
This year our XC teams had one of the most successful seasons ever. Here are a few of the trophies that they brought home.

XC-Sandpoint Invitational
The cross country teams did well at the Sandpoint Invitational on Saturday- JH took 2nd of six teams and the varsity took 3rd of eleven.
Moscow Invitational XC
The cross country team had a great meet in Moscow on Saturday. In the junior high race, Paul Ryan took 1st, Odrey Bechtel 6th, Jed Whitling 11th, Levi Wintz 15th and Jamison Evans 20th place against over 50 runners. Adam Kappmeyer took 5th place in the Senior race; Nathan Handel took 7th in the Junior race; Kevin McGarry and Zak Wintz took 3rd and 4th in the Soph. race and Jeremiah Leidenfrost took 1st, Ben Hieronymus 2nd, Josiah Whitling 11th and Willi Isenberg 20th in the Freshman race. Kalli Kohl took 23rd in the Junior girls race. Way to go!
Asotin Invitational – X Country
The JH and HS cross country teams traveled down to Chief Timothy last Saturday to run in the Asotin Invitational. The JH race had 6 competitors, 5 of which were from Logos-we won that one! Also congratulations to the Logos varsity boys’ cross country team, which beat 4 other area teams to take 1st place in the Asotin Chief Timothy Invitational. Our top 5 runners were in the top 11 of 61 total runners. The Lewiston Tribune put it this way: “The boys’ team from tiny Logos in Moscow won by a 34 point margin.” Jeremiah Leidenfrost and Friend Bechtel took 2nd and 3rd place individually.
Cross Country Teams Take First Place!
The junior high and high school X-country teams competed this past Thursday at the Troy Invitational and both teams came in 1st Place (beating Lewiston, Troy, Lapwai, and Potlatch)! Go Knights!
